Notifications on iPhone

First-time setup: install Socialize on your iPhone or iPad, then turn on notifications.

1. Install Socialize

  1. Open Safari on your iPhone or iPad
  2. Go to socialize.host and sign in
  3. Tap the Share icon
  4. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen
  5. Tap Add

Notifications on iPhone and iPad only work when Socialize is installed from Safari. Installing from Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or DuckDuckGo won't work — iOS only allows Home Screen apps from Safari.

2. Open Socialize from the Home Screen

Close Safari and tap the Socialize icon on your Home Screen. The app opens in full screen, like a regular app.

3. Enable notifications

  1. Go to the Notifications page
  2. Tap Enable on this device
  3. Tap Allow when iOS asks for permission

Or tap Enable Notifications on the dashboard prompt the first time you open the app.
