1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Socialize ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Socialize is a personal social relationship manager that allows users ("Hosts") to manage contacts, create hangout events, send invitations via email, and track RSVPs. Guests may RSVP to hangouts without creating an account.

3. Account Registration

To create a Host account, you must verify your email address via a magic code or link sent to your email. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Send spam, unsolicited messages, or harassing communications
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Upload or import contact information for individuals who have not consented to receive communications from you
• Embed or distribute malicious links, files, scripts, or code in hangout descriptions, notes, comments, or any other content
• Use automated means (bots, scripts, scrapers) to access or interact with the Service

5. Messaging

The Service may send email messages for account authentication (magic codes and sign-in links), hangout invitations, and event reminders. You consent to receive messages from hosts whose hangouts you RSVP to.

6. Rate Limiting and Fair Use

The Service enforces rate limits on authentication attempts, invitation sending, and content creation to protect against abuse and ensure fair use for all users. Attempting to circumvent these limits is a violation of these Terms. The Service reserves the right to block accounts or IP addresses that exhibit abusive behavior, including but not limited to excessive login attempts, bulk message sending, or automated access patterns.

7. Content Standards

All content you submit to the Service (hangout descriptions, notes, comments, poll options, etc.) is subject to automated sanitization to remove potentially harmful code, scripts, and unsafe links. The Service reserves the right to remove or modify content that violates these Terms or poses a security risk to other users.

8. Intellectual Property

The Socialize name, logo, and service are proprietary. You retain ownership of the content you create (contact lists, hangout details, messages), and grant Socialize a limited license to use this content solely to operate the Service.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Socialize shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. You may discontinue use of the Service at any time.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify users of material changes.
